Marriott International is a global mega -hotel chain. Originating in the United States, it opens new hotels in Japan every year. While it focuses on luxury hotels, it also operates a diverse range of brands, including lodging-focused hotels, mid-range hotels, and plans to open more than 10 business hotel brands by 2024. It was founded by Marriott, and its ticker symbol on the NASDAQ is "MAR."

The stylish and impactful design is something you rarely see in Japan, and I think it's a testament to the foreign-owned hotels. The hotels near roadside stations are perfect for overnight drives. Some hotels even allow pets.
Luxury brands are not only gorgeous and high-end, but also tend to focus on wellness and incorporate and highlight the history and culture of the area.

The next hotel scheduled to open is the JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo , which is scheduled to open on October 2, 2025.
