Matsue, the capital of Shimane Prefecture, is a lakeside castle town also known as the "City of Water." Its main attractions include the national treasure Matsue Castle, the sunset over Lake Shinji, and the Horikawa River cruise. New Hotel in Izumo City
Izumo Taisha Shrine, dedicated to Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, the god of matchmaking, attracts visitors throughout the year. In the tenth month of the lunar calendar (Kamiari-zuki), it is believed that all the gods from across Japan gather there, causing accommodations to become very crowded. It's about a 30-minute ride on the Ichibata Electric Railway from JR Izumo-shi Station to Izumo Taisha-mae Station. It's also about a 10-minute drive from Izumo Enmusubi Airport (Izumo Airport). With many other attractions such as Inasa Beach and the Ancient Izumo History Museum, a trip of one night or more is recommended.

Located in the central part of the Iwami region, at the mouth of the Gonokawa River, is a city on the Sea of Japan coast. Arifuku Onsen is a small hot spring resort nestled in the mountains of Gotsu City. With its stone-stepped alleys and three public bathhouses, it retains a traditional, rustic atmosphere and is sometimes called the "Ikaho of San'in." The abundant alkaline simple hot spring water is said to have excellent skin-beautifying effects.

Hamada is the largest city in the Iwami region and the administrative and commercial center of western Shimane Prefecture. A port town facing the Sea of Japan, it is famous for Hamada Port, which is rich in fresh seafood such as flounder and blackthroat seaperch. New Hotel in Tsuwano Town
This small castle town is known as the "Little Kyoto of San'in." With its canals where carp swim, white-walled streets, the ruins of Tsuwano Castle, and Taikodani Inari Shrine (one of Japan's five major Inari shrines), it is a popular tourist destination. It is about 30 minutes from Masuda Station on the JR Yamaguchi Line. The steam locomotive "SL Yamaguchi" runs seasonally between Shin-Yamaguchi and Tsuwano, making it an area that attracts many travelers specifically for the steam locomotive.

The Oki Islands are a group of islands floating in the Sea of Japan, approximately 50-80 km north of the Shimane Peninsula. Designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark, they are attractive for their towering cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and abundant nature. The islands consist of four main islands: Dozen (Nishinoshima, Nakanoshima, and Chiburijima) and Dogo (Okinoshima Town). They can be accessed by ferry (approximately 3 hours) or high-speed boat from Shichirui Port, or by flight (approximately 30 minutes) from Yonago or Izumo Airport to Oki Airport.
