Wakayama is the capital of Wakayama Prefecture. It is a castle town centered around Wakayama Castle (a complex of interconnected keeps and a famous cherry blossom viewing spot), and is a transportation hub located about 40 minutes from Kansai International Airport. New hotel in Kinokawa City

Kokawa is an agricultural city located in northern Wakayama Prefecture along the Kinokawa River. It is known as a production area for fruits such as peaches, persimmons, and strawberries, and also attracts pilgrims visiting Kokawa-dera Temple (the third temple of the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage). The JR Wakayama Line has stations at Kokawa Station and Uchida Station within the city limits.

This town in southern Wakayama Prefecture is known as Japan's top plum-producing region. It is the birthplace of the Nanko plum, and the area is bustling with tourists during the plum blossom season in February. This is the central city of southern Wakayama Prefecture, known as the starting point of the Kumano Kodo Nakahechi pilgrimage route. It is also the birthplace of Minakata Kumagusu (a naturalist). A small town in southern Wakayama Prefecture. Known for its wild boar-pig hybrid cuisine, swimming, and diving, Susami Town has seen improved access from Osaka thanks to the extension of the expressway. The Susami Town Shrimp and Crab Aquarium is also a unique tourist attraction.

Located at the southernmost tip of Wakayama Prefecture, home to Cape Shionomisaki, the southernmost point of Honshu, Kushimoto Marine Park is a mecca for diving and snorkeling, boasting one of the nation's largest coral reefs. Other tourist attractions include Hashigui-iwa (a group of strangely shaped rocks in the sea, designated a national natural monument) and Muryoji Temple (featuring screen paintings by Okyo and Rosetsu). In 2021, Spaceport Kii, a private rocket launch site, was opened in the area.

New hotel in Nachikatsuura

Katsuura Onsen is a hot spring resort in southern Wakayama Prefecture, home to Nachi Falls (133m high, the sacred object of worship at Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine) and the World Heritage site, Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine. It is famous for its unique open-air baths, including cave baths and raft baths on the sea, and is also known as one of Japan's leading ports for tuna landings.
