New Hotel in Yamagata City

Yamagata City is the capital of Yamagata Prefecture. It is a gateway to Zao Onsen Ski Resort (about 30 minutes by car from Yamagata City, one of the largest ski areas in Japan, famous for its frost-covered trees), and is an area with particularly high demand for accommodation during the winter. It is about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Tokyo by Yamagata Shinkansen (Tsubasa). Popular tourist spots include Kajo Park (Yamagata Castle ruins), Bunshokan (a nationally important cultural property), and the Yamagata Festival (August, featuring the Hanagasa Ondo dance). New Hotel in Sakata City

New Hotel in Tsuruoka City

Tsuruoka is the central city of the Shonai region in Yamagata Prefecture. It is the gateway to the Dewa Sanzan mountains, consisting of Mount Gassan, Mount Haguro, and Mount Yudono, and is a sacred site for Shugendo (mountain asceticism), attracting many pilgrims. The city also boasts a wealth of cultural and scientific facilities, including the Kamo Aquarium (which has the world's largest collection of jellyfish) and the Tsuruoka Town Campus (Keio University Institute for Advanced Biosciences). It is also known as a base for visiting the Gassan Ski Resort (a popular spot for spring skiing, with skiing possible from May to July).

New Hotel in Higashine City

This city in central Yamagata Prefecture is known as a major cherry-producing area. During the cherry harvest season (June), when the Sato Nishiki and Beni Shuho varieties are harvested, it is bustling with tourists. Yamagata Airport (Oishii Yamagata Airport) is located in Higashine City, with flights to and from Haneda, Itami, and Sapporo. It also functions as a base for sightseeing to Tendo Onsen.

Tendo Onsen is a hot spring town in central Yamagata Prefecture, known for having the largest production volume of shogi pieces in Japan (approximately 95% of the national share). New hotel in Yonezawa City

Yonezawa is a castle town associated with Uesugi Kenshin and Uesugi Yozan, and is nationally famous as the production area of Yonezawa beef (one of Japan's three major wagyu beef brands). Uesugi Shrine and Uesugi Museum are popular tourist spots, and the Uesugi Festival (featuring a warrior procession and a reenactment of the Battle of Kawanakajima) held every April is a large-scale event. The nearest station is Yonezawa Station on the Yamagata Shinkansen.
